Three get lifer for killing girl

Three persons were today awarded life imprisonment and another was sent to prison for four years by a local court for murdering an intermediate girl student in January this year at Topchanchi in Dhanbad district.

Principal District and Sessions Court judge, Ambujnath, found main accused Arshad and his two associates, Jamshed and Shoab, guilty under Indian Penal Code section 302 (murder).

Besides handing them lifer, the court also fined them Rs 20,000 each.

The fourth person Yasim Ali, was awarded four years imprisonment and imposed a Rs 10,000 fine for helping the main accused flee after the crime perpetrated on January 13.
