Three govt employees among four held in bribery case

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested four persons, including three employees of a land records office at Malegaon in the district for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant over an official work.

The four accused were identified as Shantaram Ahire (urban land record officer), Anant Tirmale (land surveyor) and Vinayak Gangurde (peon) posted at Land Records office at Malegaon, and a private person Subhash Shirode, an ACB release said.

After the complainant approached the ACB, its officials laid a trap and apprehended them.
