Two home guard jawans patrolling the streets here were attacked by four men with a country-made pistol and a stick in the early hours of Thursday, police said.
Jawan Naresh Kumar was injured in the attack and taken to a hospital where his condition was stable, a police official said.
Kumar and Tikhu Ram had asked the men, who were roaming in Model Town area at 1.15 AM, to go home, but minutes later the accused attacked them, the police said.
Three of the accused, Sandeep, Aakash and Karan, have been arrested whereas the fourth assailant is absconding, Kullu Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said.
A case under various IPC sections, including 307 (attempt to murder), has been registered at the Manali police station, he said.
