Police today arrested three persons, including a woman, in connection with the alleged rape and killing of a teenage girl in city, nearly a fortnight after the incident, an official said.
According to police, the deceased used to consider the woman as her sister and had been staying with her after leaving the house of her parents.
The alleged incident occurred at the residence of the accused, who are related to each other, in Musakhedi area on March 4.
The trio are identified as Anita Vishwakarma (25), the foster sister of the teenage girl, her husband Ramprasad Vishwakarma (23), and his brother-in-law Tulsi Vishwakarma (31), said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Amrendra Singh.
He said the girl had left her parents' house following a dispute over her alleged affair with a man, and was staying with Anita and her husband.
"On March 4, Ramprasad and Tulsi allegedly raped the girl. They allegedly strangled her when she called up somebody over phone and was trying to narrate her ordeal," said the officer.

"After Anita changed the dress of the dead body, Ramprasad and Tulsi packed the corpse in a box. They placed the box in a car and dumped it in Kishanganj forest area," said the ASP.
Police have seized the car, the mobile phone handset of the girl and some clothes from the possession of the accused, said Singh.
