A CISF patrol squad intercepted a garbage carrying vehicle on a tip-off and recovered 12 bottles of liquor with "duty free" label on them.

The vehicle was leaving the international goods gate at T3 of IGIA and the people on board the truck could not explain the validity of carrying the duty free bottles which are prohibited to be sold in open market, a CISF official said.

"Three people who were on board the truck have been identified as Dharambir Singh, Surendra Kumar and Yogendra Kumar. They were handed over to airport police who later imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on each of them before they were released," the official said.

The bottles that were later seized comprise various brands like Red Label (5), Johnnie Walker (3), Clan Macgregor (2) and Matus (2), they said.
