Three persons, including a juvenile, were arrested today for allegedly misbehaving with a woman during BJD's 'hartal'.
The arrest was made on the basis of a CCTV footage during ruling BJD's 'Hartal' yesterday. Police said the number of arrest in this connection might increase.
"The three arrested persons, including a juvenile, were arrested on the charge of road block and harassment of a woman on September 18. She was moving on a scooter when the three persons allegedly detained her on the road," Commissioner of Police Y B Khurania told reporters.
While the police has nabbed three persons in this case, it is yet to take any action in the allegation made by another woman that she had faced the ire of BJD activists during the "Hartal."
The woman has alleged that her car was damaged by the unruly protesters while she was on way to hospital with her father-in-law.
Khurania said the police would take action after verifying CCTV footage installed at different places in the city.
