Three injured as communities clash over loudspeaker

Three persons were injured in a clash between two communities over the use of loudspeaker at a religious site in Dhodhra village here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday evening when Yashpal protested against the use of loudspeaker installed at the site of the prayer, Superintendent of Police Jitendra Shahi said.

He was slapped by the people of the other community leading to a clash between the two groups. Both sides later indulged in brick batting, Shahi added.

Three persons were injured during the incident as the mob opened fire upon each other. The injured were rushed to the hospital, he said.
 

Police have arrested Yashpal along with two others who were named in the FIR.

Heavy Police force has been deployed in the village to check any untoward incident, he added.
