The mishap occurred late last night and two of those killed were in the van, while 15 passengers of both the vehicles were hurt.
Two of the deceased were identified as Ravi Dhankar (28), the van driver, and Heeraman (24), police said.
The injured were referred to a hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered in the incident.
