Three persons were killed and 19 others injured when a truck in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
The truck carrying silk worms, was on its way to Majalta from Udhampur when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into the gorge at Bian Baagh area of the district last evening, they said.
One person died on the spot and 21 others were injured who were admitted Government Medical College (GMC) hospital, where two more died, police said.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway, they added.
