Three members of a family were killed when a portion of an old building collapsed and fell on them in Bihar's Araria district today, an official said.
The incident occurred near Forbesganj railway chowk area killing the three persons on the spot, Forbesganj Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Ajit Kumar said.
The deceased persons had put up a stall to sell "rakhis" below an old building, the SDO said.
The deceased have been identified as Suraj Patwa, Shravan Patwa and Niraj Patwa, the SDO said adding that all the three were aged between 30 to 35 years and were residents of Forbesganj town.
The bodies have been sent to Sadar hospital for post mortem, the SDO added.
