Three persons including a woman and a girl were killed and one other injured when their motorcycle rammed into a parked truck on the busy Barabanki- Faizabad highway here, police said today.
According to the police, the victims were residents of Lucknow.
The deceased have been identified as Ahmed (26), his wife Khusbu (23), sister Naazneen (35) and niece Samma (8), SHO Ramraj Saroj said.
He said four persons were riding on the two-wheeler when the accident took place.
Ahmed and Samma died on the spot while Naazneen succumbed to injuries on the way to the Barabanki district hospital, Saroj said.
The injured was identified as Khushbu who is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
