A verbal duel between two persons over a minor issue escalated into a violent clash yesterday, with the families of both parties getting involved, Saharanpur SSP D C Mishra said.
Salman (18), Shalu (19) and Shoaib (20) were killed in the ensuing melee, he said, adding the injured have been admitted to a hospital.
Security in the area has been tightened to ease the tension, police said.
