Three killed in Meghalaya mishap

Three occupants were charred to death when an oil tanker overturned and caught fire at Mawpun in Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya today, officials said.

The oil tanker which was coming from Guwahati overturned after failing to negotiate a bend and hitting side railings in the Shillong by-pass killing all the occupants in the wee hours, district Deputy Commissioner C P Gotmare said.

The deceased included the driver of the vehicle.
