Three killed in rain-related incidents in UP

Three persons, including two children were killed in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours as major rivers continue to pose threat to several areas.

Two children were killed and as many injured after a wall collapsed due to heavy rains in Hardoi district, official sources said here.

According to a report from the relief commissioner's office, one person was killed in Barabanki district.

Central Water Commission here said major rivers Ganga, Sharda, Ghaghra and Rapti continued to flow above the danger mark at some places.

Ganga, continued to flow close to the danger mark from Fatehgarh to Dalmau (Rae Bareli) and was flowing above the red mark at Ballia.
 

Ram Ganga was flowing near the red mark at Dabri (Shahjahanpur) and Sharda continued to flow above the danger mark at Palia Kalan.

Ghaghra continued to flow above the red mark at Elgin Bridge in Barabanki, Ayodhya and Turtipar in Ballia.

Rapti, which was flowing above the red mark at Balrampur, was near the danger level at Bhinga (Shrawasti), Bansi, Regauli and Birdghat.

Burhi Rapti was flowing near the red mark at Kakrahi in Siddharthnagar as was Kunhara at Uska Bazar in Siddharthnagar and Rohin at Trimohini ghat.
