Three killed in road accident in Bundi

Three persons were killed on the spot when the bike they were riding on collided head-on with a private passenger bus on Kota-Lalsot mega highway here.

The trio were going to Baran town for a religious function last evening when a private passenger bus, while overtaking a truck, collided head-on against them on Kota-Lalsot mega highway near Deikheda village police station here, the police said.

The bus driver Hamraj Nayak was arrested and the private passenger bus seized, they said, adding a case of negligent driving was lodged against the driver in this connection.

The deceased were identified as Satayanarayan Kaivat (45), Phrabu Lal Yogi (50) residents of Sumerganjmandi area of the districtand Pappu Yogi (35), resident of Swaimadhopur district, police said.
 

The bodies were handed over to the family members this morning after post-mortem at community health centre (CHC) in Lakheri town, they said.
