Three killed, seven injured in road mishap in Udaipur

Three men were killed and seven others injured when a speeding truck hit a car and a van at a toll booth in Udaipur district of Rajasthan this morning, police said.

The victims were travelling in the two vehicles when a truck allegedly stolen and being driven by a thief, hit the vehicles at Narayanpur toll booth in Bhinder police station area, they said.

After the collision, the truck overturned killing Prem Shankar (40), Basant Pandey (45) who were in the car and Mohan (65), who was travelling in the van.

The seven injured were rushed to a government hospital and are being treated, police said adding, after the mishap, the truck driver absconded and efforts are on to nab him.
