Three persons, including a six- year-old girl, were killed and two others suffered injuries when their car turned turtle on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway today near here, police said.
The accident occurred at around 11:30 AM when three members of a family, belonging to Pune, and two others were heading towards Mumbai and their car overturned after it skid near Medwan Khind area in the district on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, an officer at Kasa police station said.
Three members of the family died in the mishap while the two injured were being treated at a nearby hospital.
The officer said they is yet to ascertain the identity of the deceased and are in the process to contact their family members.
