Three labourers were killed and eight others injured on Friday when a tractor trolley in which they were travelling rolled down a deep gorge near Pokhri in Chamoli district.
The vehicle fell into a 500 metre deep gorge about 25 km from Pokhri in the district, Pokhri SHO Anirudh Maithani said.
It took three hours to pull the bodies out of the gorge, he said.
The labourers killed in the accident were identified as Indra Bahadur Bora and Gita Devi, both from Nepal, and Dharamvir from Bijnore.
The injured have been hospitalised, he said.
