Three mahadalit girls missing

Three mahadalit teenage girls of a village in Nawada district have gone missing since September 23 and their parents today registered an FIR accusing eight persons of kidnapping the girls, the police said.

The incident happened at Lodipur village and an FIR in this connection has been lodged at Warsaliganj police station in the district.

"Two of the missing girls share the same name - Kajal Kumari and are 14-year-old and the other girl is 13-year-old Munchun Kumari. They belong to different families in nearby Rasalpur village," the police said.

"The girls had gone to collect firewood when some people came in a white car and forcefully took them away," the police officials said.
