Three mild tremors jolt Nepal

Three mild tremors jolted Nepal today, a month after the devastating earthquake ravaged the country killing nearly 9,000 people.

A 4.6 magnitude tremor was felt at 1.16 pm with epicenter at Sindhupalchowk district, 75 km north-east of Kathmandu.

Another 4.5 magnitude tremor was felt at 1.15 pm with Sindhupalchowk epicenter.

Earlier, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 12.03 pm with epicenter at Dolakha district situated in the east of Kathmandu, according to National Seismological Centre, Kathmandu.

Over 273 aftershocks of over 4 magnitude were recorded since the April 25 earthquake.

The 7.9-magnitude earthquake which struck Nepal on April 25 and another measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale on May 12 have left nearly 9,000 people dead and over 21,000 injured besides destroying or damaging tens of thousands of buildings.
