An aged woman and her two sons were axed to death over a land dispute at Ingali village of Hukkeri Taluk, about 50 kms from here, on Sunday, Police said.
They said heated arguments started between two family members on a dispute over the land, resulting in the murder of the 75-year old mother and her sons in their twenties.
Three others injured were admitted to a hospital here.
Police said 11 persons involved in the crime were absconding and search for them is on.
