Three new judges appointed to Gujarat High Court

The strength of the Gujarat High Court today increased to 30 after the appointment of three Additional Judges.

A Law Ministry statement said Abdullah Gulamahmed Uraizee, Kaushal Jayendra Thaker and Ratilal Parshottambhai Dholaria have been appointed as Additional Judges of the High Court of Gujarat for a period of 2 years with effect from the date they assume charge of their office.

The Gujarat High Court has an approved strength of 42 judges, but is facing a shortage of 12 judges after the fresh appointments.
