Ashok Thakur (37), his wife Nirmala (30) and mother Hariya Bai (65) were electrocuted when they went on the roof of their house after noticing a fire caused by a live wire, police said.
Due to severe storm and rain the previous night, a live service line had fallen on the roof of the victims' house, following which, some plastic pipes kept there caught fire, they said.
Noticing the flames, the three went to the roof, but came in contact with live service line and died on the spot, they said.
After the postmortem, their bodies were handed over to their kin, they said, adding, further investigations were on.
