A man and his two sons were today killed after being run over by a train while they were crossing tracks in Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram district.
The incident occurred at around 10.30 AM when Balaji Singh and his family members were returning to Vizianagaram after a sight-seeing excursion to Champavathi river in Nellimerla mandal, a senior GRP official said.
Balaji and his sons got down from a flyover after parking their two-wheeler and went to answer nature's call near the railway tracks and while they were returning, a passenger train (Vizianagaram to Palasa) hit them as they were crossing the double tracks, resulting in their death, the GRP official said.

The deceased were identified as - Balaji Singh (40), his two sons Purushotham (8) and Anik (4), they said.
Meanwhile, in another mishap, the Bhubaneshwar-Mumbai Konark Express train hit a lorry at a railway level-crossing today in Bhongir mandal of Nalgonda district, another GRP official said.
No one was injured in the mishap, he said.
Further investigations were on in both the cases.
