Three of family killed over land dispute

Three members of a family were today allegedly shot dead during a group clash over some land dispute in Ghazipur area near here, a senior officer said here.

Ram Shiromani Yadav and Gulab Singh Yadav were having a dispute over the possession of a gram sabha land in Berua village since the last two years, Superintendent of Police Shiv Sagar Singh said.

He said that both the parties clashed over the dispute this morning during which Gulab Singh and his associates assaulted Ram Shiromani and his family members.

Later, they shot dead Ram Shiromani (52), his brother Ram Khelawan (45) and son Dinesh (28), Singh said.
 

Two accused, Gulab and his aide Pitambar have been arrested in this connection, the SP said, adding that a case has been registered.
