Three of marriage party killed, 19 injured in road mishap

Three persons, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed and 19 others injured when a jeep carrying a marriage party overturned here, police said today.

The groom and his father were among those who sustained injuries in the accident.

The mishap occurred last evening when the brakes of the jeep failed while it was heading to Khamshet from Hanumantpada in Nashik district's Peint taluka and turned turtle at Khadki-Shinghali ghat, police said.

All the injured were admitted in Nashik civil hospital.

The deceased were identified as - Chintaman Darode (55), Manohar Darode (45) and Sandeep Khetri (12), police added.
