Three persons commit suicide in J&K

Three persons, including a girl, committed suicide in separate incidents in Srinagar and Bandipora districts of Kashmir, police said today.

A 15-year-old girl hanged herself at her home in Dara area on the city outskirts. She was taken to SMHS hospital where she breathed her last, a police spokesman said.

In another incident, a 24-year-old youth, a resident of Shah-e-Hamdan Colony Eidgah in the city, also hanged himself at his home. His relatives rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.

In Bandipora, an 18-year-old boy ended his life by hanging himself at his residence in Peer Mohalla-Arin.
 

Police have initiated probes under Section 174 of CrPC in all the three cases, he added.
