Three persons were killed and two others injured today in a road accident near Dhokwa crossing in Bihar's Purnia district, a police officer said.
The mishap took place as a speeding car with five occupants collided head-on with a truck coming from opposite direction, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Rajkumar Sah said.
While three occupants of the ill-fated car, identified as Md. Sayyad (28), Md. Naeem alias Nemi (25) and Mustakim (29) died on the spot, two others sustained injuries, he said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the injured persons admitted to a hospital, Sah said.
