Three PLFI activists lynched by villagers

Three activists of ultra outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were lynched in Baghima Narotoli village of Gumla district, police today said.

The ultra arrived in the village yesterday afternoon and started threatening the villagers as they did in the past, said Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Basia, Azra Bodra.

A large number of villagers assembled on the spot and lynched them, Bodra said adding that a police team rushed to the spot immediately on being informed of the incident and recovered the bodies.

All the three bodies have been identified, the SDPO said adding that one of the victim Dino Gope, who was a resident of Rangamati and was wanted by police in the murder of District Council member Kalavati Devi some months ago.
 

The other victims were identified as Deepak Thakur and Rahul Sahu.

Bodra said a motorcycle and a double barrel gun was recovered from their possession and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
