Three railway personnel injured on duty

Two railway personnel were severely hurt while one received minor injuries today when they were working at a depot of Carriage and Wagon (C&A) department here under Bhusawal division of Central Railway, a senior official said.

"Two persons were severely injured while they were doing maintenance work on a petrol-wagon at the ROH depot of C&A. They have been admitted to the railway hospital," assistant divisional engineer, Radheshayam Tiwari, Bhusalwal division, told PTI.

One person received minor injury, he added.

The personnel were identified as Leeladhar Rambhau (welder), Yunus Tadvi and Ganesh Deshmukh, both railway apprentice.

According to another official of the engineering department, one of the men received serious burn injuries.
 

Operations at the depot were halted immediately and the injured were rushed to the hospital by their co-workers.

Tiwari further said that those injured will be interrogated on how they got hurt once they are fit.
