The arrested have been identified as Manoj Kumar Rawat (24), a resident of Faridabad, Yogesh Kumar (27), a resident of Aligarh and Pramod Gupta (23), a resident of Sultan Pur of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

The members of this gang would mostly target senior citizens while they were alone in house.

The robbers used to first visit a house posing as employees of a courier company to get the details of the family members.

On interrogation it was revealed that two of them on January 16 barged into the house of a 82-year-old woman, Surjit Puri, mother of an IFS officer, and looted jewellery and cash, police said.
