Three suspected ULFA (Independent) militants were arrested during a joint operation by security forces in Assam's Sonitpur district, police said today.
The police and troops of Six Maha Regiment launched an operation last night and caught the trio from the Brahmaputra river bank at Gohpur Kutumghat, Superintendent of Police of Bishwanath Chariali Police District, Manabendra Dev Ray said.
The trio have been identified as Hemanta Saikia, Debojit Gogoi and Depen Sahu and two .32 mm pistols, three magazines and seven rounds of live ammunition were recovered from them.
