A class 11 student of a school in Gorakhpur's Buxipur was allegedly beaten up by his class teacher and two other teachers, following which the accused were booked, police said today.

A case was registered against three teachers and one unidentified person in this connection, SHO Girijesh Tiwari said, adding that a probe was underway.

The student's father had lodged a complaint after which the case was filed, though no arrest has been made so far, he said.

As per reports, class teacher Vivekanand Tripathi beat the 15-year-old student allegedly because he expressed ignorance about the donation for flood-hit Kerala.

Annoyed over this, the teacher started beating him and also called two other teachers, Vivek Singh and Sandeep Chaterji, who beat up the student.

"My son was badly beaten by the school teachers. The district hospital doctor told me that the eardrum of my son is affected," Satish Chandra Gupta, father of the student, told reporters.

However, the police said things will be ascertained only after medical examination of the student.
