Three truck robbers arrested

Police have arrested three persons in connection with a theft of a truck in the district here, police said today.

A turbo truck belonging to one Panne Singh was stolen on February 22 and following a complaint by him, a police team was formed, Superintendent of Police Rajiv Pawar said.

The main accused, Gafur Khan, was arrested yesterday and during interrogation he revealed the name of his accomplices, Pahadu Khan and Mohamad Salim, Pawar said.

Later, Salim was nabbed from Aurangabad-Malegoan area by a joint team of Rajasthan and Maharashtra police and was brought to Jaislmer yesterday, the SP said.
 

While the third accused, Khan, was already in police custody in connection with a murder case. He was brought to brought Jaislmer on production warrant, he added.

The trio was produced in a court, which sent them to police custody, the SP said, adding the matter is being investigated.
