Three naxalswerearrested during a search operation by security forces in insurgency-hit Sukmadistrict, police said today.
"A joint team ofCentral Reserve Police Force's (CRPF's) 230thbattalion and district police rounded up the cadres whileundertaking the search operation in the interior forests under Gadiras police station area last evening,"Additional Superintendent of Police, Sukma, Santosh Singh told PTI.
Security forces spotted the trio while cordoning off Gondpalli and Korra village forests and caught them before they could escape into deep jungles, he said.

They are identified as Rawa Joga (25), Banjam Budra (22) and Sodhi Hunga (35) who were active as the members of 'DandakaranyaAdivasi Kisan Majdoor Sangh (DAKMS)'- a front wing of the outlawed CPI (Maoist).
They were allegedly involved in looting the polling materials from Etapal polling booth of the region during last year Panchayat elections and in other incidents of criminal offences, the ASP added.
