Three workers of a pharmaceutical company were injured when they came into contact with a concentrated chemical at the company's lab in Poosapatirega mandal in the district, police said today.
The incident occurred late last night at unit-8 of Mylan Pharmaceutical Lab when the workers came into contact with concentrated methanol solution while cleaning the premises, Sub Inspector S Srinivas said.
The victims suffered more than 50 per cent burns and were shifted to a corporate hospital in Visakhapatnam, he said, adding the condition of one of them was serious.
