A local court here today sentenced a police constable and home guard to three years imprisonment for accepting bribe.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Dinesh Gupta also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on constable Ramraten Saini and home guard Pervinder after convicting them under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the prosecution, Saini and Pervinder were arrested for accepting bribe from a buffalo cart owner in Kotsali police station area in 2006.
