A three-year-old boy, who was reported to be missing since September 2 evening, was today found dead under mysterious circumstances inside his house at a slum cluster in south Delhi's R K Puram area.
Body of the boy, identified as Jatin, was discovered lying face-down between a drum and a trunk at a corner in the innermost room of a shanty, where he lived with his family.
Jatin's body was covered with clothes, which were apparently stacked above the trunk, said a police official.

"No conclusions can be drawn unless we get the postmortem report," said the official.
Jatin's family had claimed that they looked out for the boy everywhere around and also pasted posters in and around the locality reporting that the boy was missing. But they might not have searched well inside the house, said the official.
Jatin's father is the only earning member in the family who plays dhol in marriage parties for a living.
The matter was reported today around 7.15 AM when Jatin's relatives sensed a deep stench inside their house. When they searched all the rooms, they discovered his body and reported the matter to the police.
The family suspects that the boy was killed by someone known to them and then dumped at the corner of the room, tactically covered with the clothes. "We are investigating the matter from all possible angles," said the official.
An FIR was already registered in this case after due investigation was taken up on receipt of the missing complaint. Appropriate sections will be added to the existing FIR accordingly, the official added.
