A bank manager was sentenced to three years' rigorous imprisonment in a bribery case by a special CBI court here.
Punjab National Bank (PNB) Manager S C Nanda, who was arrested while accepting a bribe in 2007, was also slapped with a fine of Rs 10,000 by the court yesterday, a CBI release said here today.
Nanda had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 for accepting a loan proposal under the Prime Minister Rojgar Yojna (PMRY) scheme.

In another bribery case, the special CBI court sentenced a section engineer of the Western Central Railway to three years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on him.
The engineer, Yogendra Pandey had in 2007 demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant for facilitating her transfer from Nagpur division to Jabalpur.
