Three youths killed in separate road accidents

Three youths lost their lives in separate road accidents here, police said today.

All the three incidents were reported yesterday.

The first incident took place in Narwal area when Shivendra Kureel's bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle, killing the 24-year-old on the spot.

The matter is being investigated, police said.

In the second incident, a speeding car hit the cycle of 30-year-old Deepak, killing him on the spot.

The driver of the car fled the scene after the accident, they said, adding that a search is on to nab the accused.

In a similar incident, another car hit a 30-year-old cyclist in Barra area, after which he was seriously injured. Locals caught the driver who was trying to flee from there.
 

The accused was handed over to the police. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

All the three bodies have been sent for postmortem and the incidents are being investigated, they said.
