Three YSR Cong party workers held

Workers allegedly conspired to burn state-owned buses, damage government property

Cyberabad police today arrested three supporters of YSR Congress party leader and MP Jagan Mohan Reddy who had allegedly conspired to burn state-owned RTC buses and damage government property in case their leader was arrested.

Miyapur Police caught three persons and foiled their plan to burn 100 RTC buses, In-charge Commissioner of Cyberabad police Rajiv Ratan told reports here.

During checking of vehicles early today, a police team nabbed two persons, S Srikanth Reddy and K J Eliazar, when they were riding a motorcycle and recovered a bottle containing one litre of petrol, he said.

The duo who was also questioned by Punagutta police yesterday for agitating in front of Dilkisha Guest house where Jagan was interrogated by the CBI, confessed that they were workers of YSR Congress Party and working with one Vellala Ram Mohan who too belonged to YSR Congress party, the police commissioner said.

Based on the information given by them, the police arrested Vellala Ram Mohan as well, he said.

Ram Mohan too confessed that as per the instruction given to him by the state leaders of the party, he directed his two aides to set fire RTC buses and damage government property in case Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested by the CBI.

The police commissioner said a case was registered against the trio and other accused would be apprehended soon.
