Threee injured in clash

Three persons including a

Sub Inspector of police have been injured in a clash between two groups of people at Thangachimadam in this island, police said today.

Police said the clash erupted between the groups last night over collecting money from a shop belonging to Sri Ujjaini Makali Amman temple, a Yadava community shrine.

Toll was colleted from the nearby shops by the temple administration.

While Maheshkumar and Prabhakaran suffered injuries in the head, Sub Inspector Baskaran who tried to intervene suffered fracture in the nose.

Police arrested four persons in connection with the clash and registered cases against 50 others under various section of IPC including attempt to murder, rioting with arms.
