Thundery developments bring slight relief for Delhi

Delhiites got some respite from sweltering heat today as mercury settled at 38.6 degree Celsius after hovering above 40 degree mark for the last several days.

According to MeT department, the dip in temperature was recorded due to partly cloudy sky and thundery developments in some areas of the national capital. Traces of rain were also reported in some areas overnight.

Similar weather is expected to remain tomorrow as well. MeT department has predicted partly cloudy sky with possibility of very light rain and thunderstorm in some areas with maximum and minimum temperature expected to remain between 38 and 28 deg Celsius respectively.
 

The day temperature today was normal for this part of the year. Maximum temperature had settled at 41.7 degree Celsius yesterday which was three degrees above normal.

Minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degree Celsius, a notch above normal and slightly up from 26.2 degree Celsius from the previous day.

Humidity oscillated between 25 to 48 per cent during the last 24 hours.
