"The programme aims to express solidarity by our Indian friends to the supreme sacrifice of the Tibetans inside Tibet and also to call for an urgent diplomatic intervention to end the crisis inside Tibet," Lobsang Sangay, Sikyong (the democratically-elected political leader of Tibetan People) told reporters.

He claimed a number of prominent political leaders from India, including senior BJP leader L K Advani, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and others, would participate at the programmes to be held at Talkatora Stadium, Jantar Mantar and Rajghat between January 30 and February 3.
