While other people managed to reach safe places after the water of Muriganga river forced into the village breaking the embankment, Shaibya Kole (65) was washed away while trying to save her goat.
Her body yet to be found, the sources said.
As the water inundated a large part of the village, the district administration has ordered the irrigation department to repair the broken portion, a stretch of about 200 metres, urgently.
