Pilot of a Singapore-bound Tiger Airways flight with 167 passengers on board aborted take-off after the engine developed some problem following a suspected bird hit, officials said today.
Shortly after the plane was readying for take-off yesterday, the pilot aborted it, suspecting that a bird had hit the engine.
The passengers were later taken to a hotel and accommodated there.
The flight left Tiruchirappalli at 10.50 AM today after engineers arrived from Chennai with spare parts and set right the problem, officials said.
