A tiger was found dead near Alesur village under Sindewahi forest range in the district, an Forest official said today.
"The decomposed carcass of the tiger was found in a farm near Alesur village in Sindewahi tehsil of the district by some farm labourers last evening," said honorary wildlife warden and representative of National Tiger Conservation Authority, Bandu Dhotre.
Veterinarians conducted autopsy of the big cat and the DNA samples and viscera was sent to laboratory to understand the cause of death.
