The tiger attacked cows and killed a two-year-old calf last night, officials said.
Villagers said they made a loud noise and chased the animal away.
Some villagers noticed the tiger moving around the estate early today, following which forest department and veterinary department officials have rushed to the spot, either to trap or catch it by firing tranquiliser darts, sources said.
