A one-year-old tiger, thrashed by villagers of a hamlet under Mudumalai Tiger Reserve a few days ago, died today without responding to treatment.
The tiger cub had strayed into a hamlet of Mountanchetti tribe on August 19, entered the goat house and attacked the animals.
Hearing the bleats, the villagers rushed there and found the animal stuck in the goat house, unable to come out.
