Participating teams from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have arrived here for the Shillong-leg of the 12th South Asian Games amidst tight security coverage at their respective hotels.
A 15 -member strong Pakistan team for badminton have already checked in at one of the two hotels assigned to them while another 11 archery players are on their way, a SAG official told PTI.
The rest of the 29 rooms are booked for table tennis besides officials and the managers for the participating team, he said.

A strong contingent from Bangladesh participating in archery, football, badminton and wushu have also checked in today while those from Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan besides Indian archery teams have also checked in, the official said.
Meanwhile, tight security has been put in place in all the hotels especially for Pakistan and Bangladesh, a senior police official said.
At least 25 security personnel have been assigned to each of the hotels where a Pakistan team was staying, he said.
